Thank you Biggest Morning Tea Supporters

May 25 2016 By melbournemamma Leave a Comment

I’m so excited to be joining forces with Kate from Meetoo to host a fundraiser high tea this Friday as part of the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea.

The event would not be possible without the support of some FABULOUS local businesses who have donated amazing prizes for us to raffle on the day!

At the high tea, set in the delightful Brunswick Tea Room, we will be running a raffle – we hope all our guests will buy loads of tickets as 100% of the money raised in the raffle will go directly to the Cancer Council.

Kate and I would like to give a huge loved-up THANK YOU to the following organisations who have so generously provided our raffle prizes:

Melbourne Museum – a family membership, Jurassic World tickets and a copy of the book Chooks in Dinner Suits, valued at $188.95

Schwarzkopf Professional – a hamper of hair care products, valued at $300.00

Let Lulu – home delivery of ten freshly cooked, nourishing and dee-licious meals, valued at $120.00

Twisted.Tastes – Sally Ridden (event specialist) will bake and decorate a cake to your specifications, to the value of $200.00

AGL – a family Zoo pass valid at Melbourne Zoo, Werribee Open Range Zoo or Healesville Sanctuary, valued at $94.00 (AGL are proud sponsors of the The AGL Marine Response Unit and also work with Zoos Victoria to install solar PV panels at Melbourne Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary and Werribee Open Range Zoo.)

The Cupcake Queens – one dozen cupcakes, valued at $40.00

The Melbourne Box – one Autumn Melbourne Box and If On A Winter’s Night Box, valued at $49.99 each

Liberte – a Stella Silver Bangle, valued at $49.95

Little Market Bunch – A little market bunch along with a Laneway Candle, Black Pantry Marshmallow Pack and T2 Tea Box gift pack, valued at $81.00

Fujinella – Alexander Grey Marle top, valued at $60.00

The Brunswick Tea Room – High Tea for two voucher plus a special blend of tea, valued at $94.00

Per the age old tradition, a high tea experience is designed to be a selection of savoury and sweet treats to be enjoyed between breakfast and dinner.

The high tea includes beautifully arranged platters of gourmet savoury items (ribbon sandwiches, fresh quiches, skewers, savoury crepes), decadent sweet petit fours (hazelnut & cranberry meringues, vanilla teacake, pistachio & raspberry treats), scones (served with cream and jam) and fresh seasonal fruit accompanied by a varied selection of house blended artisan teas ongoing throughout the event.  (Vegan and gluten free can be catered for.)

Ticket are $45 and a percentage of the ticket cost will be donated to the Cancer Council.  Melbourne Mamma and Meetoo (Kate and myself) are giving our time to organise and run this event as a way we can actively support the amazing work of the Cancer Council – we hope you will join our Biggest Morning Tea event!

We’ve still got a couple of tickets left if you would like to join us. Book now!

The Five Wishes of Mr. Murray McBride follows 100-year-old Murray and 10-year-old Jason, a terminally ill boy, as they form an unlikely friendship and work through Jason’s five wishes. Their bond is so heartwarming and shows how connection can shape and change lives.
