Sunraysia Juice Review & Giveaway

August 1 2012 By melbournemamma 13 Comments

As a vegetarian, I am a huge lover of fruit and one of my favourite things about fruit is their juice.

I’m a big juice drinker, so I recently jumped at the chance to review Sunraysia’s Prune and Cranberry Juices.

Prune Juice

We are already big fans of Sunraysia’s Prune Juice and drink it frequently to help keep us regular.

Whenever either of my kids are constipated, I give them a serve of Prune Juice, usually mixed in with their cereal, and it works a treat. I’ve always got a bottle or two in the pantry for this specific purpose.

Not only is Sunraysia Prune juice made from 100% fruit but it also has no added sugar, no preservatives, no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners.

It’s naturally full of antioxidants that fight free radicals and dietary fibre that contributes to digestive health and comfort. It’s hard not to love something that’s so good for you.

Cranberry Juice

I must admit, I have only ever had Cranberry juice with Vodka mixed with it ;), so I was curious to see what it was like on its own.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I really like the taste of it. When I found out that cranberries are full of antioxidants, which help fight the effects of ageing, I was wondering why I hadn’t been guzzling it (without the vodka) sooner.

Even though it’s the middle of winter, I really enjoyed it chilled with a couple of ice cubes in it.

Cranberries and cranberry juice have earned a reputation for packing an antioxidant punch and as a natural medication for urinary tract infections. Sunraysia’s Cranberry juice contains no preservatives, no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners.

Sunraysia is an Australian family owned and operated natural beverage company founded to provide people with high quality beverages that deliver specific natural benefits and taste delicious.

Thanks to Sunraysia, I have some juice to giveaway. Two lucky readers will each win 3 x 750ml Prune Juice and 3 x 750ml Cranberry Juice.

To enter the competition all you need to do is leave a comment below telling me “What your favourite fruit is”.

Pineapple is my favourite, as long as it’s juicy and sweet, mixed through a fruit salad or by itself, even battered and deep-fryed it’s awesome!

Just finished Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConag Just finished Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy and… Wow!!!
What. A. Ride. 📚

From the very first chapter, I was hooked. And the twists? I did not see them coming.

Charlotte McConaghy proves once again why Australian authors are absolutely unmatched when it comes to vivid storytelling and emotional punch 🇦🇺📚

It’s beautifully written, deeply moving, and completely unputdownable.
Highly, highly recommend!

“Dominic Salt and his three children are caretakers of Shearwater, a tiny island not far from Antarctica. Home to the world’s largest seed bank, Shearwater was once full of researchers. But with sea levels rising, the Salts are now its final inhabitants, packing up the seeds before they are transported to safer ground.

Despite the wild beauty of life here, isolation has taken its toll on the Salts. Raff, 18 and suffering his first heartbreak, can only find relief at his punching bag; Fen, 17, has started spending her nights on the beach among the seals; 9-year-old Orly, obsessed with botany, fears the loss of his beloved natural world; and Dominic can’t stop turning back towards the past, and the loss that drove the family to Shearwater in the first place.

Then, during the worst storm the island has ever seen, a woman washes up on shore. As the Salts nurse the woman, Rowan, back to life, their suspicion gives way to affection, and they finally begin to feel like a family again. Rowan, long accustomed to protecting her heart, begins to fall for the Salts, too. But Rowan isn’t telling the whole truth about why she set out for Shearwater. And when she discovers the sabotaged radios and a freshly dug grave, she realises Dominic is keeping his own dark secrets.”

I went into this book knowing very little about th I went into this book knowing very little about the Vietnam War, and it was a real eye-opener.

Kristin Hannah has an incredible gift for bringing history to life, and The Women is no exception. This emotional and powerful story follows the experiences of women who served during the war - stories that are often overlooked - and it left a lasting impact on me. I love historical fiction, and Kristin is truly a master storyteller.

“Women can be heroes, too’. When twenty-year-old nursing student, Frances “Frankie” McGrath, hears these unexpected words, it is a revelation. Raised on California’s idyllic Coronado Island and sheltered by her conservative parents, she has always prided herself on doing the right thing, being a good girl. But in 1965 the world is changing, and she suddenly imagines a different path for her life. When her brother ships out to serve in Vietnam, she impulsively joins the Army Nurses Corps and follows his path.

As green and inexperienced as the young men sent to Vietnam to fight, Frankie is overwhelmed by the chaos and destruction of war, as well as the unexpected trauma of coming home to a changed America. Frankie will also discover the true value of female friendship and the heartbreak that love can cause.”

Have you read this or any of Kristin’s other books?
